splits: usize

Edge splits performed.

remaining: usize

Edges still past the limit because StretchOptions::max_splits ran out.

vertices: Vec<[VertexId; 3]>

[new, a, b] per split, in order: the new vertex and its edge’s endpoints, which may be new vertices from earlier in this list. For a caller that holds per-vertex state of its own and has to carry it over.
