SceneClosestHit

Struct SceneClosestHit

Source
pub struct SceneClosestHit {
    pub mesh: MeshId,
    pub hit: ClosestHit,
    pub point: [f64; 3],
    pub distance: f64,
}
Expand description

The point of the scene nearest to a world point.

Fields§

§mesh: MeshId

The mesh the point lies on.

§hit: ClosestHit

The hit as the Phase 3 query reported it, in the mesh’s local space.

§point: [f64; 3]

The nearest point in the world: hit.point placed by the mesh’s origin and placement.

§distance: f64

The world distance from the query point. With a rigid placement it is the local distance; with a uniform scale it is the local distance times the scale; with a non-uniform scale the local query runs on a world-baked copy, so it is that query’s distance.
