What SignData::build found out about a mesh, so that an application
can warn when signs are doubtful.
Fields§
§mode: SignModeThe mode in use: never SignMode::Auto.
closed: boolTrue when no edge is a boundary (used by one triangle) or non-manifold (used by three or more). Zero-length edges of triangles that repeat a vertex are not counted as edges.
consistent_orientation: boolTrue when every edge shared by exactly two triangles is traversed in opposite directions by them.
non_manifold_vertices: usizeAlive vertices whose triangles do not form a single fan (see
Adjacency::is_non_manifold_vertex).
degenerate_triangles: usizeAlive triangles with exactly zero area.
signed_volume: f64The signed volume enclosed by the alive triangles (O(n), in f64):
positive for a closed, outward mesh, negative for a consistently
inverted one (every sign wrong under Auto), near zero for an open
sheet. Apps can warn when a closed, consistently oriented mesh has
a negative volume.
